Yes, paint the rooms graige. A surprising number of people don't want to paint, prefer to start with neutral coloured rooms, or can't get beyond a bright colour to imagine themselves living in the room.

I was at work in a very busy er when I found out I was pregnant, and it was a real sit-down moment because although we were half-heartedly trying, I was 41 and had past fertility issues. Neither dh nor I expected me to get pregnant, so when I came up for air after inhaling my fourth twinkie (I never, ever ate at work and was a health nut), I grabbed a coworker and took a pregnancy test. :)

Europe? I would take a pair of ankle booties or a pair of Tieks, depending on the weather.

Remember that scene in The Christmas Story when the leg lamp got broken? ;)

Ours consist mostly of posts about lost dogs, dogs running loose without a human, lost cats, cats peeing in neighbor's yard, Snakes!, coyotes, foxes, door-to-door salespeople, what's that loud noise?, caught this person on video stealing packages from my doorstep, who wants to buy my old lawnmower/baby clothes/kitchen items/furniture, is anyone else's internet service down.
It's mostly entertaining but sometimes annoying.

The pinterest kalenderlys are beautiful!
I googled "advent pillar candle" and got several hits. Here's the first one; the first ones are not what you are looking for, but scroll down on the page and there are some prettier ones:

Here's another source:
You may have already seen these, but thought I'd try just in case. Ebay also has some.

I have a friend who is a well-known rocket scientist; he has a copy of his ACT score on his office wall: An 11. :)
He is brilliant (and adhd) and the exception, I mostly told the story for entertainment purposes.
There is a book called, The Perfect Score: One Mother's Journey to Discover the Secrets of the SAT. It's a great read and an excellent source for test preparation.

Heavy weight training. I have also gotten amazing results from barre classes. Barre is basically pilates and ballet inspired body weight training.

Introduce that gorgeous, rambunctious kitten to the older cats. They'll hiss at him for a day or two, then will settle in and raise him, and will teach him proper manners.
Thanks for the great photos! :)

This butternut squash recipe, except Instead of pasta, I use thin sliced potatoes and carrots. I also don't bother with the chicken stock.

Other than Pajar, Mackage, and Canada Goose, the warmest coats IMO are LL Bean. LL Bean's warmest boys' jacket is polyester filled:

I am afraid of driving or being driven over a bridge, and must have the window rolled down to go over one without panicking.

We don't have the pettiness, but there are a LOT of foxes and coyotes trying to eat the poor neighborhood cats and dogs!
Oh, we did have a big neighborhood scandal about a pomeranian named Romeo who would get out of the house on a daily basis and cruise the neighborhood looking for love. I think Romeo moved away though. We don't see him any more. :)
Almost forgot, the skunk and her five babies were also a popular subject for awhile, and the dogs in the neighborhood got pretty stinky, but I think the skunk family packed their bags and moved to the nature reserve.
Last thing, a five foot alligator was caught at a small neighborhood lake about half a mile from me. This is north Alabama. There had been rumours and sighting for several years, but most people didnt believe them. :)

Okay, I have Art of Problem Solving Algebra, so I will take a look. I now vaguely remember ds13 doing them when we homeschooled, which is perhaps why he finds them so easy now. It seems like the ones we did with AOPS made much more sense though.
Thank you very much!

DS13's algebra class uses the wonderful Algebra 1 text by Dolciani, Swanson, and Graham (1989).
While I am over the moon that his utterly fantastic instructor uses a Dolciani text, I am struggling with finding any other textbooks or resources which does algebraic proofs with the same complexity.
Oh, ds13 is doing great with these proofs, it's ME who is struggling! I can work through the ten or twenty proofs in this text, but cannot find any other resources to gain additional practice.
Why, do you ask, is a 54 year-old lady even bothering to do these problems? Because I never did proofs before except in geometry, and these are fun!!!
I have several other Dolciani algebra texts, but they are the more recent ones that don't do nearly as many proofs, and they are much more simple. I could look for the older Dolciani's from the 60's and 70's, but hate to spend hundreds of dollars if I don't have to.
Any suggestions on other texts?
Thanks in advance for any help!

If your area, has a Whole Foods, you might try there.
Or, if any of your local supermarkets have grocery pick-up services try ordering it online so you don't have to visit several different stores.
