  1. What type of squash are they? Summer squash, like zucchini and yellow crook neck?

If they are those, you can use them for grilling, especially....or the zucchini (green ones) you can shredd up and use for quick bread. You can also shredd it and put it in the freezer for later use.

Kale can be washed up and added to smoothies, without changing the taste of it (for future use!!)

Beans.....doesn't matter if they green or yellow. Snip the ends off of them and boil them up for eating. Just cut them up in bite size pieces or leave them whole...boil them in salted water, add butter and salt when done....delish!

Does this help a little....there are many, many more things to do with what you have....but this would be the basic things, if you haven't done anything with fresh produce from a garden before.

  2. I make up my batch of pizza dough in my Bosch and make a x4 recipe. We use one pizza crust on the same night I make it and then I divide out the rest of it in three equal pieces. I place each of those in a quart size freezer bag and label them. When we are wanting pizza, I just take a bag out of the freezer and add the toppings. Its an easy, quick meal. The recipe I use makes a large jelly roll size pan, so it is enough for a complete meal and sometimes with leftovers.

  3. My 8 and 10 year old love to draw everything out, whether it is for science stuff, history, or vocabulary skills. I want to find something that would fit for them to use for Art or Drawing instruction. I was thinking some type of DVD type lessons. Anyone have any favorites and why?

  4. I have both the food processor and the slicer/shredder. The slicer shredder has the blade at the top and can do a very large amount. The bowl is considerably larger and fits on the same side as the mixer part. The food processor has blades for the top, but also has the regular blade on the bottom. It is a smaller bowl and fits on the side where the blender attaches.

I like both of them for different reasons. But...if I had to chose only one, I would pick the slicer/shredder.

  5. I have been trying to perfect making a batch of popcorn and need help. I used to have a gas stove and it made a perfect, panfull of popcorn everytime. We have moved and I now have an electric stove. I have been using the same pot, olive oil, and regular popcorn...but not good results. Do you have any tips or can you recommend a good popcorn popper?

    Thanks
