  1. I don't know how to put this delicately so I'm just going to say it.  The diameter of a cup is MUCH bigger than an ultra tampon.  I can't imagine being able to comfortably put a cup and make sure it's popped open in the right spot prior to having sex. Sometimes I really have to sort of dig to get the cup adjusted. So if a DD hasn't had sex yet I think I might discourage this.  There are softer cups, but the softer/smaller/more flexible, the more difficult to get to pop open IMHO.

I know several women who have been able to use cups 100% successfully without having had sex. It's just a matter of relaxing enough and getting used to it. There is a learning curve to be sure, but it's not impossible by any means.

  2. Does your DS have anxiety? I can understand his not liking travel or wanting to spend time with his dad regardless. It just crossed my mind to wonder if anxiety could be exacerbating it.

  3. I'm trying to understand all of the 'tank' suggestions. Do people really wear an entire tank top under their various t-shirts, tops and dresses all day, every day?

In my imagination having an extra layer all over (especially around the waist) would seem a lot more bulky and intrusive than just a bra or bralette.

I actually do wear an extra camisole under everything. It makes me feel more comfortable somehow. I have a set of encyclopedias and wearing one that's pretty elastic seems to help provide a little bit of extra support when worn over the bra.

  4. For me, it's more how the food is prepared.  You can take the same food and prepare it in the way I like it  (such as savory roasted sweet potatoes) or in the way I don't like it (mushy sweet potatoes with marshmallows and brown sugar), and that will make all the difference.  But well-prepared turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie -- it's all good!  The fresher and more natural, the better.

This. I really don't like Stovetop or other boxed stuffing, gravy from a packet is blech, boxed mashed potatoes are also blech, and green bean casserole with gloppy soup is disgusting.

However, I do like the homemade fresh versions of all of the above. My mom makes a green bean casserole with fresh green beans (or frozen), homemade mushroom cream sauce, and caramelized onions on the top. It really is delicious and makes the canned fried abomination all the more disgusting.

  5. I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but I'm in the same boat as you. No natural products really work or they make me sweat buckets (Crystal worked well for smell but I swear it made me sweat twice as much. Not okay.)

So, I went back to aluminum antiperspirants. Le sigh.

  6. I would agree but it seems to be less than 50% (total guess) especially for questions on charter schools and diploma requirements which are very state dependent so many of the replies can be mis-informative.

While I agree that there are times that state is relevant to a question, I still think the burden of providing the information needed to answer a question lies on the person doing the asking.
