LoriM.....I sent your post onto the NCHE office (regarding the conference call saying not to allow any homeschoolers to take classes other then math, science) Here is the response back:
As I said, it is up to each CC to decide so if one does offer the humanities on campus, the others do not. Here is the response I received from the Raleigh office.

That is absolutely not the case. The General Assembly was very clear that local colleges have the discretion to offer these general education courses to dual enrollment and Huskins students, and if they choose to do so, may charge an amount sufficient to cover the cost of these courses. I don't know where colleges would have gotten the impression that the System Office told them not to offer these courses. We have not, nor would not, issue those types of instructions against the direction of the legislature. It is a local college decision.
