I'm thinking how do you wear one of those giant pads they give you after giving birth, and then appear smooth in a dress and heels? I don't get it. I'd be worried about leaking, lol.
Fresh pad, and a pair of Spanx for the smooth line.

In a professional environment, I would expect to hear woman, person or individual. Not the term for a child.

Calling out is appropriate.
So is using or helping create a company wide channel for calling this stuff out.
Word choice matters.
Sadly, if you are the only one calling this stuff out, it will end up costing you. Racism and Patriarchy are still alive and well.

I am not a Christian, so I was looking at secular ones. I was just wondering if I am paying for "schedule" or something more.
You are buying a curriculum plan that includes a schedule. There is more to it. The FAQ on their page a more of a breakdown.

The ideal secular “wheel” is still a work in progress.

We didn’t when they were younger because we couldn’t, they didn’t have any activity they were that passionate about, and I believe in trying “all the things” when young.
Now we do, sort of, because they do have focused passions and we can put more support in. They are teens now.

I chose other. So many variables. In our situation it was about 30 mins away to visit my folks when they were still alive. We usually saw them a minimum of once a week because they lived in the larger town we did all our stuff in.

We are currently remodeling a bathroom. It’s gutted at the moment. We are turning two small, inconvenient bathrooms into on functional bathroom. There is another bathroom elsewhere in the house. So we are going from 3 to 2 bathrooms.
As much as possible we are using original placements areas so we don’t have to move too much plumbing or electrical. New tub, shower, vanity, sinks.

I’m concerned that previously private clubs are now public.

I’d rather private groups be deleted and start over vs. private conversations become public.

DS has decided on Knox College in Illinois.
He ultimately chose Knox College because of the sense of community. Mom and Dad think it’s a great fit, with an excellent aid package.
He plans to major in mathematics. He received their math scholarship.
He is excited at Knox he will also be able to explore his other areas of interest as well.
Knox College is part of Colleges That Change Lives.

My kids called their grandparents:
Meemaw
Grandma
Peepaw
Papa
Occasionally Peepaw would be Grandpa, but not often
I called mine Grandma and Grandpa

Emory actually gave him quite a bit more than we expected. Not quite enough. I'm thinking I might call to see if we can get a bit more. I have no idea if people do this or if it ever actually works, though.
ETA: And, of course, the boards are about to go down! I thought we were done and now this. I come here to calm down so I don't know what I'm going to do this next week.
I don't know about at Emory specifically. If you have a good offer from another school, use it to encourage Emory to give more aid. Assuming Emory is their top choice!
We are planning to do this if my son decides he prefers the school that offered less merit aid.

If you want to check products and their ingredients you can use
It's helpful to see what is good and bad on skin.

I just love the thread title.

I’d find a gentle chemical exfoliatant and skip any physical exfoliation. Physical exfoliation is hard on skin.

Asking questions in this board was very helpful for me, but a dedicated homeschool counselor can provide in-depth feedback based on personal details that most of us might not want to reveal on a message board.
Do you “need†one? Of course not, but for some of us it’s really helpful.

Lawn mowers
in The Chat Board
Posted
We just moved to our new house (yay!), and are in need of a new lawn mower.
I like the idea of an electric mower. But gas powered is fine too.y husband would like a larger blade length (20+ inch).
Anyone have recommendations? I haven’t bought one in over a decade and that was just the cheapest we could find at the time.
Im not sure of our yard size, I know it’s less than an acre but is a decent sized yard for in town.
