  1. I think it could be fun. You can do all the rides in Suess World and some others. Harry Potter World is really about walking through Hogsmeade, eating at the Three Broomsticks, relaxing in the back of Hogshead Pub with a soda or pumpkin juice, buying candy at HoneyDukes, seeing the train. Of course she might want a wand and a robe before it's over. :D ) It's all so fun and real feeling!

Those are all a lot of fun, but hard to do with young children - the wait times when we were there was 2 to 3 hours just to get in to HoneyDukes, Three Broomsticks, & Hogshead and it was 1 1/2 hours for a wand. Way too long for us to stand in line :)

  2. Universal is more for the preteen/teenager, not for younger kids. There was only 1 ride in the entire park that my 5 year old could ride. It is really going to depend on your child. How tall the 6 year old is, and if the other children don't mind just walking around. I went with a 7, 5, and twin 2 year olds. My 7 year old is tall and she loves roller coasters so she had a blast, but the other kids were just bored and tired. We LOVE Disney and often get season passes :) If you have extra time, I totally recommend going to Magic Kingdom several times. Animal Kingdom is also a lot of fun with the younger crowd :) Their is also a dinosaur park in the area.

  3. Screaming in pain preceded by little hiccup noises, choking, arching his back into a C shape, never being able to lie down without spitting up repeatedly.

We kept him upright pretty much all the time, tried eliminating everything from dairy to tomatoes from my diet because I was exclusively nursing (This did nothing.), tried Zantac (which made things barely better), ended up on Prevacid. Prevacid made it much better. He grew out of it around seven months.

    :iagree:

Eliminating some foods from my diet helped, but we did have to go on meds. Zantac didn't work for my son either, but Prevacid worked miracles :) When Prevacid went OTC in capsule form only I had to fight with the insurance company to get the pills that I could turn to powder to give to my son. My son also grew out of this around 7-8 months.

  4. I think the first thing I would try is having Mom watch what she is eating. Maybe remove dairy? Don't eat anything spicy or acidic - no mexican, nothing with tomato sauce, no soda's (nothing with bubbles - makes you gassy/burp), nothing that would give a baby gas like broccoli, etc. Have Mom really think about what she is eating, every time she puts something in her mouth (baby eats everything she does) Try this for at least 24 to 48 hours and see if it helps.

  5. We just got 2 Pandigital eReaders and LOVE it :) It is a lot cheaper than Nook Color. We can use it to get on the internet and we use it for Netflix (there is an app for it). We also use it for the kids to watch movies, and read books on in the car (from memory cards). It is an android, so you can use any android app on it :)

  6. No I found it online - when I was doing a search for dealing with a heavy menstrual cycle. I had my tubes tied after my last pregnancy, so that wouldn't be a problem. I have always had an extreme amount of pain with my periods, but the bleeding was never heavy. Now, after giving birth to my twins, my periods are so painful that I pass out and bleed VERY heavy. My periods are always different - I don't have 28 day cycles. I skip months at a time, then suddenly have a period that will last for 2-3 weeks, and is VERY heavy for the 1st week.

My main concern was if anyone had any problems with having this done. It seems like it would be a simple procedure.

I think I am going to talk to my doctor about it - I hope insurance will cover it :)

  7. We live in Florida and our rental house was foreclosed on 1 month after we moved in :( The bank did NOT have to stand by the rental agreement (we had a lawyer) and we had to move - you are lucky that you are being offered any money - we didn't get any money and were out tons of money from having to move again (getting boxes again, paying to put cable lines in new rental, paying moving truck, etc.). They also wouldn't give us back our security deposit until after we moved, so we had to borrow money to pay security on a new house :(

  8. I don't know if this will help your decision, but here goes :) We were using Singapore Math and were switched to TT. My older daughter tested out of 4, but 5 looked a little tough for her. I thought she needed to quickly go through 4 and make sure she knows everything really well before moving on to the next level. So we are doing 2-3 lessons a day to get through 4 and then will move onto 5.

  9. We have 5 computers in our household :D My husband has a desktop and a laptop, I have a laptop (I want an ipad :tongue_smilie:), my 7 year old has a laptop, and my 5 year old has a desktop. We have spyware on the computers and it barks if the kids try to go to an unacceptable website (and won't let them get on that website). We keep the computers in our schoolroom, but they are used for school and play.

  10. Are his joints (ankle/knee/hips) hot to the touch? Does he complain when you try to move his joints even when he is laying down?

My sister and I grew up with JRA (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis). Extremely painful after running around the day before. Usually couldn't walk the next day.

  11. Totally recommend this book:

The Potty Boot Camp: Basic Training for Toddlers is a unique new toilet training method developed by Dr. Suzanne Riffel. Learn MUCH more at our website at http://www.ThePottyBootCamp.com

Potty Boot Camp is on facebook too :)

I potty trained all my kids before they were 2 :) I was a professional nanny for 13 years before I had my kids, so I totally knew that was the way to go. Summer before they turn 2 - let them run around naked and sit them on the potty for 5 min. every 20 min. I know that it is exhausting - believe me I know - I just finished potty training twins, but you have to be consistent. If you don't keep at it then you just have to start over. Once you start potty training throw away or give away ALL of your diapers. Only put pull-ups or rubber pants on them at nap/bedtime, keep them in regular underwear/panties or naked during the day.

Once the kids get older they are much harder to train - too stubborn :)
