Boundaries came to my mind first as well.

Obviously yes for me... Before I opened the thread my first thought was "in the kitchen"!!!

If someone is trying to get me to remember somewhere I've been or some specific memory, they can give a zillion details, but until a picture pops into my head I have no recollection. Sadly I have forgotten many childhood memories because I cannot picture them. This is one reason why I love blogging... it saves the memories for me and the pictures more readily stay in my mind. Pictures=memories for me.

Our church met in a movie theater for many years. It started at least an hour before any movies were showing... So we would just walk right in, no tickets. And I never heard of anyone sneaking into a movie after church. :)

I was planning to use Kinetic Books Geometry and Conceptual Physics for my 10th grader this year. Now I find out they don't offer those programs to home schoolers and what I purchased (a one-year license) doesn't have any answers or teacher support. They will refund my money, but I really wanted to use these programs this year.
What am I missing? I heard about Kinetic Books here and am so confused to hear I can't use it as a homeschooler. School starts in 2 weeks!!

Wow, it took me a while to find the stars! So I clicked on them to see what would happen. Guess that makes it an official vote.

Thanks for posting this!

I used to love grocery shopping, now I hate it. End of story. ;)

Yay! Toggle editing mode works! But why? What in the world does that little icon actually do??

Sweet! I just picked that up last night before I saw this. It's always reassuring to see a recommendation after you click buy. :)
Are there samples online for Grammar Revolution? I can't find them.

Thanks for letting me know about this groupon! When I purchased it, I was given an extra $10 discount (no idea why) so only paid $15 for a $40 gift card!

I still have my rocking chair we got when dd15 was born. Dh has tried to get rid of it many times... I can't part with it.

Thank you! I love the simplicity.

I just posted this on another thread but perhaps it will be useful to you.
I'd love to see a picture of one of your 5x7 cards... I can't quite picture how all that information would fit for an entire semester. Is it for a semester???

Love it!

For get it done, low prep science I,I'd recommend EM daily science. We use it as a spine and it so much more than a work book. I will come back later to explain how we use it asca spine when I am not trying to type on my tablet while nursing lol.
I'd love to hear about this!

Just updated my queue! This thread is great, even though it's old.

I've been using it this year with all my kids, although I just stopped with dd10 because she wasn't understanding any of it.
After a couple months my kids (on their own) began doing an entire week each day, so basically covering 5 sentences a week instead of 1. Even my 2nd grader was doing this voluntarily! So that's another way you can use the program. I'm going to continue with it next year.
There is not much instruction, so I'll sometimes use google if I need help teaching.

Mtnteaching...would you mind sharing a couple of pages? I have a new computer and it has Onenote but I am the worst when it comes to tech things, but I'd love to use it for lesson plans.
I would love to see too!

After reading this thread I discovered I have Onenote 2010 on my computer, but I've never used it! I used to use Evernote, but it became too complicated or I wasn't using it right. Then I switched to workflowy which I absolutely love! Such a simple concept and I use it everyday. But for things that workflowy isn't good for I think I'll try Onenote. Would love to hear more examples of how people use it in homeschool planning!

. That's exactly what I did... Notability worked great!Actually, using Notability would be much cheaper than PDF Expert. I've never even heard of that app. Maybe old threads about very new tech aren't always the most up to date.

Thank you for mentioning this! For the past 6 weeks I have drastically changed ds8's diet and have been astounded at the positive behavioral changes. I recently bought OJ and was having him drink it because he was coming down with a cold and his behavior has become worse. I wouldn't have made the connection to OJ.
