  1. I was able to put in a request to have them notify me if it came back in stock, so I was able to get it yesterday when they added more! :) Hopefully if it is a popular item, they will bring it back again. I just started the free trial a day or two ago, so I am going to ride out the free trial before I put in the voucher. :)
  2. They are all gone! I didn't do it yesterday because I wanted to make sure I could get more than one so I was waiting to hear from their customer service. This morning I checked it and it didn't say almost sold out (that was about 7am in Arizona) so I figured I would wait a bit until I had the kids school done for the day and the little one down for a nap. Bummer! Lol. Guess I shouldn''t have waited.
  3. Where did you see that? Because I was just scrolling through their Facebook page (zulily) and noticed that they ship to Indonesia so they deal with more than just U.S. customers. Is it Reading Eggs that won't deal with customers outside of the U.S.?
  4. Glad you found it! :) Now, I am considering this for my 2 boys (6 and 4.5) but since I have never used the program before I have a question. Will I need a seperate account for each of my kids or can I just use one? Also, I noticed it says that the code for the voucher expires July 31, 2013. So those of you who already have accounts can still take advantage of this since you have a while to use it.
  5. I know I don't post here very often (I lurk A LOT but enjoy this forum very much!) but I saw this offer this morning and didn't see that anyone else had posted it. The zulily website today has a 1 year supscription to Reading Eggs for $29.99, which is usually $75. I haven't used it for my children because of the expense, but now I am seriously thinking about it. If you haven't been to zulily before all you need to do is sign up with your email, there is no cost involved to join. They have a lot of neat things for discounted prices and the items change daily. A couple weeks I bought a bunch of Evan-Moor books for homeschooling as well.
  6. We are using the K/1 level. :) I'm kind of new here and don't understand all the abreviations you are using for the programs you have listed? I know what BJU is, and I've heard of Sonlight but I don't know what the rest are.
  7. My son is over half way through the second book of Sing, Spell, Read, and Write. I was just wondering for those of you who have already "been there", what curriculum did you use next? We are using Horizons for math, and it would be nice to stick with an author I know but I want to make sure that the transition from SSRW works well for him. Thanks!
  8. I've heard of Point Loma Seafood I will have to keep them in mind. :) I checked Living Social today for the San Diego Area, and they actually have a really good deal on a fishing charter right now. My husband wanted to spend a half a day with his dad out on a boat so this is perfect! I didn't think about Birch being more crowded because of field trips, makes sense! I'm assuming most schools probably don't go to Lego Land (even if it's just the aquarium) for field trips. If it makes it easier to navigate and keep an eye on my children, that is probably better! Supposedly our hotel (Homewood Suites-Liberty Station) has a children's park/playground really close by as well so I am excited for them to be able to blow off some steam if they need to.
  9. Wow, thanks for all of the quick responses! :) I found a working link to the homeschool fieldtrips for Seaworld and it looks like they don't start until October, so that will be out. I got PTA coupons off of ebay for $2 each that are buy one get one free (either child OR adult) so unless the homeschool deal is cheaper, we will probably just stick with the coupons since there will be 4 adults and 2 children (my youngest will be free). I'm thinking we might do Birch Aquarium instead? I know Legoland has an aquarium, but I haven't really heard anything spectacular about it. We did the wild park thing last time we went and it wasn't very enjoyable for the kids. Too much walking or waiting in between the things they could see, and my younger boy threw a horrible 2 year old tantrum on the train ride because he fell asleep while we were in line waiting to get on it and did not wake up in a good mood. The closest zoo we have is in Tucson, which is really small (my husband and I grew up near the Milwaukee Zoo so we were spoiled!) so we might splurge for the zoo I'm not sure yet. We didn't do Balboa last time, so that might make it on our list this time. And we are planning one going to Coronado Beach at least once, that's the beach we went to last time and the kids loved it. Oh, and I know September is usually the hottest month for San Diego......but coming from southern AZ it will be a cool change for us! Oh! If anyone has any good family friendly suggestions for a good ( and fresh!) seafood/sushi place that would be great. My husband and I like sushi, but the kids and inlaws don't really care for it.
  10. I searched the boards but didn't see much that was really recent. Since we homeschool, we enjoy taking our vacations in September. We will be driving from southern AZ to San Diego and staying 6 days. Last time we went my children were 3,2, and 4 months. This fall they will be 5, 4, and 2.5. We will also be joined by my in-laws (it will be nice to have an extra set of hands!) What I am looking for is any places to go to that are good for young children (sight seeing and places to eat) from other people who know the area well. We enjoy being able to splurge on certain things that we think are worth it, but I also look for the best deal possible. Just received my buy one get one free addmission coupons in the mail for Legoland! I am debating doing maybe the zoo or seaworld if we can get a good deal. Seaworld used to have homeschooling field trips but I can't find it on their website anymore. I know you had to have at least 10 children to do it, so I thought I would post on here in hopes of someone from San Diego seeing it seeing as I do not know any homeschoolers from that area. Thanks!
