  1. So excited around here too...

I bought "Nature Connections" by Clare Walker Leslie for some fun ideas. It's organized through each month so there are things to do even in the winter. Can't wait to start using this!

I also am excited to hack my Nook so that I can get a better pdf reader on it... so I can have Comstock's Handbook with me in ebook form at all times (minus the rainy days). (I'm a nerd.)

  2. (I accidentally posted this as a reply to another thread)

So I'm looking for suggestions on vintage (online) resources for compiling a solid education in the Language Arts for my young ones. I found a speller and a phonics spine that I want to use, but I'm curious if anyone has found success with Sheldon's Primary Language Lessons (and has any input on how it compares with First Language Lessons). I'm also curious to know if there is a good, vintage alternative to Writing With Ease.

Also, I'm guessing there aren't teacher guides/answers for things like Sheldon's. Does that make it harder to teach?

    Thanks!! :)

  4. Wow... yeah, I've been there. I always say the curse of childbearing is the sickness/HG. I could have gone through childbirth five times rather than the misery of HG (and mine wasn't even quite as bad as others' HG). Had it with both pregnancies.

My little ones are younger than preschool right now, and I'm a little scared I won't be a competent home educator if I get pregnant again (we'd like more kids)... what are your experiences with homeschooling simultaneously with HG?

  5. Ooh-- Sherry, great point on the A4 paper. So glad you brought that out.

Wow, thanks everyone for the input. I'm definitely getting more interested in the program with all the positive feedback! :D

Zookeeper: I was thinking of complementing the program with Miquon math too. Thanks for the ideas of how you're using it. How long does Miquon + MEP take you per day approximately?
