[I Have a MIL Situation & Need Advice!]

Forget the drama, just looking at your kid's ages I would say no for the 3 and 1 year old. The 10 year old, yes in some situations, but for him I would say no because of the boyfriend since it sounds like you do not know him well.

Thank you so much.. You have confirmed my suspicions(about it being too easy, and not knowing what a noun was) and that makes me unhappy since now I have to go out looking again.. I'll begin looking with R&S though..

 

I want a good thorough grammar. But I did so want easy too.. lol

I have read and read about Easy Grammar and have just about decided to use it next year. However, I make much better decisions about curriculum if I read why people DIDN'T like it than if they did.. lol If you have stopped using it.. may I ask why??

 

Has anyone used Easy Grammar and taught Latin?? And did your children do okay with understanding the grammar?

 

dd will be 7 turning 8 next year doing Easy Grammar 3. She reads at a 5th-6th grade level and has no real need for a spelling/vocab program, just writing and grammar.. which is why I am thinking about the Easy Grammar along with Writing with Ease(for narration and composition).

 

Any thoughts and why you didn't like Easy Grammar would be appreciated.

Hi,

 

Does one need to be able to diagram a sentence to do Latin later?? I was thinking of going with Easy Grammar for my dd7 next year, starting Latin For Children the year after that, and I don't think that EG teaches diagramming. Will it be necessary for the Latin??
