Even my icons.. How do I change it??
Thanks
Go to View on your tool bar. Go down to Text Size and you can adjust it. I did this a few weeks ago.

Our fav devotional was Leading Little ONes to God. Actually quite meaty.
I second this. I have read this to both of my sons when they were preschool age and plan to read it to my daughter when she is a little older. I have also read it to my Preschool Sunday School class. I believe it sets a wonderful foundation to build upon.

"Spanish Now" looks interesting. It is very simple, and reasonably priced. Some of the reviews mention mistakes throughout the text in grammer and spelling. Have other families found this to be a problem?
I have called a few of the families who use this. None of them have noted the grammar or spelling mistakes. I was told it works well if you are learning from someone who knows Spanish as their first language(which they all are). They use this as homework during the week.
They do not recommend it for self-study or for parents to teach who do not have a background in Spanish.
Bob Jones Spanish with videos and Hayes Spanish were both recommended to me for self-study.
I am leaning towards using Rosetta Stone with my 5th grader in the fall.

I was homeschooled by traditional textbooks only K-12th. I found this very boring and had always wanted more out of homeschooling. Then I found the WTM. This was the educational approach I had always wanted for myself and so I am trying to give it to my children. Of course I throw in some textbooks here and there, and tweak this and that, but for the most part this is my guide.

Take a look at Spanish Now! I know several families that use this and love it. You can view the inside of the book at amazon.com.

My dd wanted her hair painted pink. So we bought pink glittering hair color from the party section of WalMart. You spray it on and shampoo it out. It stayed on all day and came out easily in the bath.

I prefer FLL. I love the straight to the point lessons. I love that it is scripted and it is one less thing I have to prepare in advance for. The way it approaches Language is fun and it has given my sons a firm grasp on grammar. My oldest easily went into ABeka 3 after completing FLL 1 & 2.
-
I let my children look at it while I unpack it. Then I put it away where they can't find it.
-
Thank you. This was just what I was looking for.

What would you like? Biographies, fiction, historical fiction?
I am looking for non-fiction state history and biographies.

Does anyone have a list of books they liked or read for Georgia State History? My ds 4th grade is studying Georgia State History and I am looking for books to supplement his core.

I really liked 1850-Modern Times. My oldest ds enjoyed the States Games and Capital Games and has no problem pointing out any state on the map now. I also loved their Science. The only downfall I see is that there was a lot of History to study each week and I found that we could not cover it all and I had to pick and choose.
-
I would go with option B.
-
I used PP with oldest child and used PP, OPG, and finally settled on Bob Jones Reading for my second child.
-
My oldest son was 4 and my youngest son 5.

www.homeschoolmath.net has a fraction worksheet generator. Just scroll down and on your left you will see Create Free Worksheets. Fraction Worksheets are under that heading.

SOTW 1 is written to be used for anyone in grades 1,2,3, or 4. Each book should take one year. Of course you have the right to make it last longer if you wish.
-
I have enjoyed Drawing With Children. I do the lessons with my sons and they love it.

We are using Prima Latina. We love it and are looking forward to moving on to Latina Christiana in the fall.
Does anyone own the new 3rd edition of BJU Science 4? I need to know the TOC, but
