My favorite CFA story: Friends were traveling with their many children. Their car broke at CFA. The manager and an employee helped them unload the broken car, and load the "rescue" car. Gave them free food, and let them stay there for hours while they waited for the rescue car. Then gave them coupons for free food when they returned. Amazing!

If you were teaching only 1st or 2nd graders, (like in Sunday School) these would be great. In a family situation, it makes sense to keep everyone together.

Thanks for the laugh!

I know what you mean. I have however grown to enjoy trying to figure out the illustrations. They left them blank (no skin color) until the last story when the people of all colors are before the throne. I thought that was a good way to do it. In my experience, children are intrigued looking at the pictures. (I wouldn't want them on my wall though!)

I have a Ektorp sofa, chair and ottoman. They are sturdy, and look good and about 7 years old. I wash and dry the covers when needed.
I recommend them!

I saw a video once on how to sharpen colored pencils.
They said to hold the pencil still, and rotate the sharpener around it.
It has made a really big difference for me!
This I believe was from the folks at Prismacolor.

I have taught it for several years in Sunday School.
There is a "How to use this at home" section in each curriculum.
The curriculum is great and I think it could be used at home although it is geared for a classroom.
I think it would be easier to use the devotionals mentioned above.

How did it go?

Great job with your children. And, it is great that their teachers see and let you know what they see!
Help me! It's day 4 w/o caffeine

You can do it. It is a bad headache, but it is worth it in the end.
(You could also, drink one swallow of something with caffeine... then go off until unbearable headache, and do it again. Eventually, the headache will go away and not return.)
This worked for me.
I'm so glad I'm off it now. You will be too.
