  1. My dd will be in 10th next year. She took Apologia Biology at the co-op and loved it and did well in the class. My question is, is it necessary to take Chemistry this year? She was thinking about the Adv. Biology Anatomy and Physiology ( Apologia) ? Do you know if there are any special math requirements for this class? I know for Chemistry they wanted Alg. 1 completed and she won't be finished with algebra 1 until the fall.

  2. Ok, I know this sounds silly, but did you find it really hard to buy pre-owned? I have looked and looked..and am wondering if it would be cheaper for me to just try and buy all of the items separately, used....? I would love to get it brand new, but it's just not possible right now. My husband has just started working again after a 6 mo. layoff...so we're needing to catch up on everything! Any thoughts? Wouldn't it be wonderful if MFW took payment plans?!

    Thanks for your time!

  3. My dd (15) will start a foreign language for the first time next year ( 10th)..How long is Latin taken for? Are colleges accepting this if taken for 3 years in high school? Also, what program would you recommend? She would also like to take French, but from I understand , learning other languages is easier if you have had latin first? Thanks for any info you can share! I am at a total loss on this one!

  4. We have been homeschooling for 2 years and I just can't figure out what to use with him to instill a love of learning. We have tried so many different things with him. Honestly, I don't know what to do at this point. I'm not sure if he has a LD ..he was just tested for Dsylexia and we are waiting to hear back. I know he loves anything hands on. ( Science is his favorite) His biggest struggle is reading, writing and comprehension. I have spent this semester reading our History aloud , and even though the lessons are short..he can't answer any of the questions . We are planning to go back through 8th grade again...I'm thinking maybe Unit Studies or ? Any suggestions you have would be helpful and much appreciated. I'm honestly at the point of...should I send him back to PS....I just know we're not making headway at home..and I have no idea what to try next! Thanks
