  1. Hello all.

    Just my two cents.....:001_smile:

But, you should check out the VP self -paced courses.

    They are Excellent!!!!

This month if you go to their website....you can register for a FREE one month trial of these courses...any time period.

We did this over the summer.....& my kids can sing the songs & know their timelines completely!!!

    They just loved it.

    Please check it out...you won't regret it!:iagree:

  2. I just spoke to BJU...

They said my plan to use BJU Writing & Grammar 9 & IEW SICC_C & Wordly Wise sounds super! They basically said their writing program is .5 credits...& the IEW SICC-C & Wordly Wise will add plenty of time & work for the full credit!

ps....Yesterday.....I received the same confirmation from someone at Veritas Press.

    Whew!!!

This is all good news to my little ears!!!:iagree:

  3. Yes,

Omnibus does count for 3 credits....( Lit, History & theology)

So, I want to count my Omnibus Literature...as one full credit.

Most English credits are 1/2 yr Lit..& 1/2 yr writing.....

I do not want the Omnibus lit to count only as 1/2 credit.....it is too much work.

So, that leaves BJU Writing & Grammar...I had planned this to be my English credit. But, BJU counts this course as .5 credits.....the other 1/2 being their Literature course.

So, what else can I use to fill up my English credit?

    Any ideas?

Here's what I thought about using...?

BJU Writing & Grammar, IEW SICC-C , & Wordly Wise..

I think this may be enough.?

  4. We are doing the same thing!...w/o:tongue_smilie: the tutor.

We are using Rosetta Stone for 9th grade.

I think it is lacking in the grammar department....so, we have decided to use...a really GREAT program....

Breaking the Spanish Barrier- to add more grammar.

    Check it out!!!

  5. Here's the scoop........:001_smile:

DIVE Science CD-ROMs are college preparatory, interactive video lectures and labs that teach physical science, biology, chemistry, and physics from a Christian worldview. Each CD contains digital whiteboard lectures, hands-on interactive video labs, review questions, quarterly exams, and solutions to every review question and exam question. Digital video lectures and labs allow students to learn at their own pace, pausing and rewinding as necessary until a concept is understood. Except for physics (follows Saxon Physics), you can supplement DIVE Science with almost any textbook. We recommend Bob Jones, Apologia and Abeka, but other textbooks work as well. You can even use the Internet as your "textbook", as there are now many excellent sites filled with general science information and animations. Students who do well with DIVE Science can, with a little extra effort, receive college credit by passing a CLEP or AP exam. Students can prepare for these exams using our CLEP Professor series.
