  1. I have a 13 year old son that has always had difficulty in expressing himself. He's been like this since he was able to talk, everyone reassured me, but I finally feel that enough is enough and I need to try to address his issues. Any open ended question he has difficulty answering. He just can't express himself. He gets frustrated. I get crazy frustrated. For example, two days ago he was talking about some movie we had never watched and when I asked him where he had seen this movie, he couldn't even tell me. He started to tell me what the movie was about instead of WHERE he saw it and WHEN. I finally discovered he had seen part of it at the dentist and that's why it was "at the place where you can't hear the sound." Why couldn't he just say that in the first place? He's 13! I think we're already at the place where he should probably be evaluated but I have no idea where to start. I need a label. I'd also like to get curriculum to address his issues. We read a ton. We write a ton, and he has improved with writing. But with oral expression, he is terrible. And I am terribly worried! Can anyone give me advice or point me in any direction?
