My son recently did 8th grade for Northstar and I want to switch to another online Academy. I was not happy with Northstar. I found that the English and Science were not rigorous enough. For example, English had him reading only 1 book. Yes, he did read short stories as well but compared to the regular school curriculum that has 4-5 books, I did not find it adequate. In addition, I found out that the book is normally used in 5th/6th grade. Does anyone know anything about K-12 or Connections Academy? They were highly recommended by 1 of the colleges I called as an online high school alternative. .
