3girls4me
Hi ladies, So long story......but I'm going to keep it short. Basically we went from a combination of CLE and R&S up through 6th grade. We moved to Saxon prealgebra and have been using it throughout this year. In a way, I'd say my dd has been successful. She's getting roughly 90% of the homework correct. Same with tests and quizzes. But it just doesn't seem to be sinking in. So...........I've signed her up to do WTMA pre-algebra next year again to solidify everything. She'll be doing the class that uses Saxon and I'm good with that decision. I had thought I'd keep going with the prealgebra the rest of the year, but she's starting to struggle a little, so I'm thinking of going back to R&S and doing certain parts of their 7th grade book. Then letting next year be the true prealgebra year. What are your thoughts on this plan and on R&S math 7 in general? Thanks! 3girls4me
Oh and also wanted to add that CLE 7 might be an option also
3girls4me
To get a full pre-algrabra course with CLE, she would need to complete 700 and 800. I know nothing about R&S. It won't be to get a full prealgebra program. We have done half of Saxon prealgebra this year and will be doing all of Saxon prealgebra next year at WTMA. It would be basically stepping back and doing some 7th grade math the rest of the year to build some math muscle.
