ValRN Posted August 11, 2017 Share Posted August 11, 2017 (edited) I'm looking for an online chemistry course for DD/11th grade. She's not particularly science-y, but she's a good student. She's taken physics (and lots of other courses) at our local CC, however, she doesn't want to take chemistry there. She's been accepted at a university to attend as a high school student, so she wants to spend those credits on studying Russian or Korean and linguistics. She wants to study linguistics in college, thus having an ultra rigorous chemistry course is of no interest to DD. I'd like for her to have a solid foundation in chemistry but to be able to use most of her time on her language & linguistic courses. I'm considering HSLDA's chemistry with Von Sommerville. Does anyone have any experience with HSLDA chemistry and/or with this instructor? I'm also willing to consider other options if you have suggestions.
