HappyGrace
Thinking of relocating to an area where dh's job is available. He's getting close to retirement and we have NO retirement money so we want to be in good weather w/ cheap cost of living. We'd be coming from upstate NY where our house is worth about $250,000 (we owe 80,000). We want to get in a one story small but newer home (less than 10 years), or even a condo, in a suburb, and have no or very low mortgage, if possible. We are hoping for lower taxes and general cost of living so we can get by once he retires. I do know there is no state income tax-does that make a ton of difference over the long run? Can you give me some pros/cons about the Nashville area, please? I'd appreciate it! Would also love to hear some specific suburbs that are really nice to live in but not too $$$. Thanks! Our older daughter is still homeschooling, but almost done. Ds 8th grade is in private Christian school (not Catholic)-are there any good ones in the Nashville area that are not expensive?
