Scuff
My dd loves life science. She has read through Zoo 1 (birds & insects), 2 (sea creatures), 3 (animals), and the anatomy book. I'd like to keep her going, but am not sure what else is out there. What books go in depth, but are suitable for 6th grade? That are interesting to just sit and read? Thanks. Staceyshoe
The Stop Faking It series is perfect for that age. It's primarily physical science so will get into topics she hasn't studied yet.Cartoon Guides are fun and surprisingly in-depth.
Jane Elliot
We just finished Pioneer Germ Fighters, an oop book used in WWE4. Written in an engaging narrative style, it's perfect for taking a 5th-6th grader deeper after Apologia's A&P. We used it for practicing narrations at a rate of about a half chapter each lesson, two or three lessons a week. Guest Hollow has wonderful lists of living science books.
