VANURSEPRAC Posted April 4, 2015 Share Posted April 4, 2015 Hello All, I hope your all are not suffering terrible with your allergies as I am......wishful thinking....lol. My DD is the product of public school in West Texas. Our school district had taken phonics out when she was in the early years of learning to read. She enjoys reading. Starting reading Harry Potter in 2nd grade and has never stopped. She especially enjoys dystonia books. But, she can't pronounce many words to save her life. She just glosses over such words. She is a very fast reading and I am not sure of her comprehension. She makes straight As but I don't think that is saying much. She is in 6th grade. Can you recommend something for us?
