5sweeties
I'm drowning in a sea of confusion over what to do next year with my oldest. She is ready for high school level work, and it is scaring me to death. Up until recently, the jury was still out on whether or not she would continue to homeschool through high school. Now that the decision is made, I am looking for options. One that has caught my interest is the print Oak Meadow. I'm wondering about the quality of the program, what one misses out on if they are not enrolled in OM, and if you've used it, did you like it? What are the good and bad features of the materials, etc. Anything and everything you can share would be much appreciated.
Guest
Two suggestions: 1) This might be better answered on the high school board here. 2) You might consider joining the Oak Meadow Yahoo group and ask there as well. I looked at OM for my guys for 5th but their skills just don't fit. I have found the OM Yahoo group very friendly and knowledgeable. Hope this helps you. I am considering them for HS as well when we get there.
AngieW in Texas
I'm considering Oak Meadow and Keystone for some courses for my oldest for high school. It bothers me that the textbook for Oak Meadow's chemistry is a 1995 edition, so I'll probably go with Keystone for Chemistry. Oak Meadow's applied business math both looks very good based on the sample online.
