amo_mea_filiis. Posted June 16, 2012 Share Posted June 16, 2012 The kids and i have had some crud going on. Yup, medical term for it! Ds woke up sick on saturday morning. Dd has had a cough since her allergic reaction, so i think she's been reacting to allergens but then caught something. I started feeling something by tuesday or wednesday afternoon. I was just really stuffy/runny with watery eyes. Ds has been taking xopenex before advair 2x per day, and i think that's why he sounds the best. Dd has been taking albuterol twice daily, so that's probably keeping her under control. I have nothing. My cough is painful. Deep, productive, and my insides are sore. Sneezing hurts worse than coughing. None of us have had fevers, the kids are still playing normally during the day. What do we have? Pepsi baby has had bronchitis since early april, but he slept over 3 or so weeks before we got sick. The pharmacy only knew of a stomach bug going around. If we did not have huge appointments next week, i dont think i'd care. Right now i hesitate going to genetics with the way i sound. We also have the start of summer book club, speech, and housing inspection. How long would you give a virus to work before thinking bacteria and asking for antibiotics? Should asthmatic ds have a chest xray if this goes through next week? Should i? None of the local drs are very proactive, and you have basically request what you think you need.
