purplemama
I am thinking of using these after we finish the first four year cycle. How many of these books could you cover in one year with a 5th and 7th grader who are excellent readers and can read quickly? Could we do 2 units (books) per year? Also, are these geared toward Middle grades or suitable for any age group? I only saw a brief sample where there were books listed for all age levels, but the American History books say they are for younger students. Thanks! Heather in OK
You could probably get through two books in one year. It would all depend on how much you cover, how many library books you want to use, how fast your kids read, if you want to assign any additional work, etc. I only have experience with the AHYS 1 and 2. There are some selections that they have listed for the upper grades.
HiddenJewel
AHYS is for elementary. The rest are for 5th grade and up. You can do Greece/Rome in one year easily. And Renaissance/Reformation in one year. The Age of Revolution books are longer. I plan on taking one year each for those.
