That is where you practice the calendar, temperature and skip counting. Of course, you could skip that part of the lesson, but it was very valuable for my dc. I don't think the meeting book has shapes to be cut out; those should be in the workbook. There are no instructions in the meeting book, it is more of a math journal for the student.
