ciyates
My son is in the CAP and they had several uniforms donated. The problem is their patches bonded on by someone dry cleaning the uniforms. We got the patches off but it has left a white, paper, gluey residue. Any ideas on how to clean it off?
ChrissySC
Try vinegar. Vinegar tends to eat most oil-based substances. After that, try hair spray. After that, you may want to try something like mineral spirits, but test an obscure piece of the fabric first before going to the glue spot. I usually find that vinegar, hair spray, and toothpaste are my best friends for removing things from clothes.
Teachin'Mine
Goof Off might work, but I'd try it on an inconspicuous part of the fabric first to make sure it's okay. http://www.goofoffstainremover.com/cleaning/how-remove-glue Edited January 19, 2011 by Teachin'Mine
