Sue in WI
Minnesota Moms- what requirements do you have to home school? I just looked up the Minnesota laws on the HSLDA site. I don't have a college degree, and don't fulfill any of their requirements. Dh has a B.A., but I am the one who does school with our dc. Middle ds has sensory issues, and is a little behind in some subjects, and about grade level on others.
AngelBee
You would have to file a letter of intent each year, turn in progress reports, and have them tested annually. :) It is honestly really easy. I do not have a degree either. I use the form from MHA: http://www.homeschoolers.org/files/MHA%20Reporting%20Form.pdf

Jeanne in MN
Since you are the primary teacher and you do not have a college degree, you will need to send in report cards/grades every quarter/semester to your school district. We need to send in a letter of intent to our school district by Oct. 1 every year. (MACHE has a simple form to fill out that we use.) We are required to test our kids every year, but not required to send results to anyone. There are subject areas we are required to cover, but you'd most likely be covering them anyway. That's about it. I think we have it pretty good here. Minnesota Moms- what requirements do you have to home school? I just looked up the Minnesota laws on the HSLDA site. Sue in WI
Thanks for your replies. Dh isn't sure exactly, but he thinks it might be in the Minneapolis area.
