runamuk
My daughter is studying for the ASVAB and ran across this problem: (9,3) x (8,4) Neither one of us could figure it out and googling resulted in more confusion. How would we go about figuring this one out?
Perry
My daughter is studying for the ASVAB and ran across this problem: (9,3) x (8,4) Neither one of us could figure it out and googling resulted in more confusion. How would we go about figuring this one out? I have a vague memory of this, but it's been a long time. I googled "multiply ordered pairs" and found this. (a,b) * (c,d) = (ac-bd,ad+bc) so (72-12,36+24) =(60,60) But I can't explain it.
ChrissySC
Formal construction of negative and non-negative integers Which you also have to consider ... ordered pairs You have to love math! NOT.
