I have scoured the internet for Crewton's videos. Not proud to admit: I need more explanation. I don't understand the WHY when it comes to multi-digit multiplication, or his algebraic equations. His five year old clearly gets it, I don't. The videos I have found have (not to be dramatic) revolutionized the way my boys view math. They HATED it before. What's interesting is, we were doing Math U see. They are, in theory, the same approach, but MAN- what a difference it made to find Crewton's videos. Was I just making it boring? Is it the way he presents it? I don't know, I just know Crewton made me realize I don't have to keep saying to my younger son, "No, don't try to do multiplication yet, you'll get confused."
Having said all that, the only videos I see regarding mutli-digit multiplication, and algebra, assume the viewer understands the model. I asked for a bit of clarification, and hopefully he will respond. I'm going to pay for a password and see if he lists those videos there. I can't afford Mortensen math. Not after all I have spent on curricula.
Mortensen Math--Have you heard of it?

ok, this thread was linked from another one. I'm sorry it's old, but I have a question- if anyone knows which workbook I can purchase that would be the most helpful for multi-digit multiplication, division, fractions, decimals and basic algebra, I would be most grateful!!
