  1. I haven't seen the movie yet. I grew up with Julia Child (TV and in person). She was friends with my grandmother and was such a super nice woman.

After reading what you all thought of the book, I think I will pass. I tend to like to read the book before I see a movie. I can handle some swears, but it does not fit in with Julia's personality and see why she was appalled at the blog.

  2. I managed to get mine down from 264 to 170 in one year by simply changing my diet and exercising more. I lost 10 lbs too (wish it was more though).

I hardly eat red meat and if I do, I limit it. I eat mostly chicken and pork and of course lots of veggies. Cheese is my "bad" food. I could eat it constantly.

My hubby is also Diabetic, so we all eat a low carb/ low fat diet now. I refused to make different meals for everyone, so when he got the diagnosis of Diabetes last year, we all changed our diets.

Now if I can just get the hubby off the Diabetic meds, life would be awsome. I hate to think of what those are doing to his liver.

  3. This time of year, we do a little something every night until the 25th. It ranges from simply watching a Christmas movie (I add to my collection every year), to doing some sort of community service project. Last year my son packed stockings for kids who may not get any gifts.

On the 21st, we read about Yule and how others celebrate Christmas around the world. We also make gifts for the birds to hang with our feeders outside. Those are usually gone by the morning. LOL.

Christmas Eve is spent together driving around listening to Christmas music (we have a whole radio station that plays nothing but Christmas music starting the week before Thanksgiving) and looking at all the lights.

We do the whole Santa thing. When my son either asks or I feel is ready to learn the truth about him, I will let him know. But for now, I love watching him try to figure it all out.

  4. If you used the coupon then mostly likely no one else can. I work for CBD and most of our promotion codes are a one time only use.

If it came from a magazine, newspaper, radio show, etc, then it can be used again as those are generally all the same. But then in that case, it can only be used once by each individual person who has the code.
