Hope someone can help...I have the 2007 SOS spanish 1 curriculum, we did a little work on this in 2009 and 2010. We are trying to finish this year, however the kids can access there accounts but not the lessons and from the teacher I can no longer assign assignments. So in essence we can no longer use this program.
SOS will only give support for the current year and their online support is very limited and did not address my problem, can someone please help, this may also help those who are buying used curriculum, thanks

I cant get mine to wash. His hair is greasy. He says he washed it, but it doesnt look like it. He smells. Why doesn't he care? :confused1:
Don't worry the day will come when he actually goes into the bathroom all by himself, and you hear the shower running, you won't believe your ears! so you have to go and put your ear up to the door and yes you hear the sound of splashing water, HE IS BATHING WITH NO PROMPTING! a HALLELUJAH moment for sure! but just to be sure you accidently bump into him as he is leaving the bathroom so you can secretly smell that he used soap , then at last you can truly rejoice at the water droplets running from his hair unto his back!
So what that the floor is sopping wet and every towel is used up, the boy is smelling good, your day will come, mine did, stand firm and believe sister!:

due to having to go back to work part-time last year I did not finish TOG yr 1 Ancients with my 9th grader, I wanted to do a 4yr cycle which she would have finished by 12th grade. In a nutshell I want to stick to that schedule.
we will finish tog yr1 around October/November, i am looking for a good but less intensive program than Tog that we could use to:
finish Middle Ages by end 10th(we will have approx 6/7 months to do this)
We may go back to Tog to do
Ren/Reformation -11th
Modern- 12th
Hope this is not to confusing, thanks for any imput!

doing Apologia Bio at home was very easy to do for us, we just bought the lab kits and followed the instructiions, all was very simple to do
-
we do history 3 days a week
-
I thought Apologia was pretty rigorous, the vocabulary words alone was very comprehensive at least in my non science mind

We're doing a lot of the same church related activities, plus volunteering at library.

Rosetta stone is great, we using SOS spanish 1 this year as our spine, with RS as supplement

I worked with my kids on this, even though they could have done it independently, I wanted to know what they were learning so we can have discussions and I would know where if any they did help.

We did Fallacy Detective last year. We were pretty informal about it, just doing it once a week. Next spring semester I plan on doing Art of the Argument, but daily. It covers a lot of the the same informal logic that Fallacy Detective does, but in a more structured way, I think. After completing that then we will go into an Intro. logic course.
I supposed I am a WTM diehard and was trying to follow it's recommendations, however I know there are many ways to study logic

I wonder why I heard so much about profane language? maybe it was the time period?
