[ADHD/ADD and Medication]

... I was very resistant at first, but I read something that really hit me. I heard the findings of a study where kids who were treated with ADHD (meds) and those who were not reported only one main difference when recalling their childhood - those who had received meds remember being happy.

 

Do you have a link or name of article for this study. It sounds like something I'd be interested in reading. Thank you! :D

Hugs to you! I'm sure we've all been there. We used Oak Meadow last year (for seventh grade) and my daughter spent hours doing the assignments and was very unhappy. We ditched it for eighth grade.

 

I've never used any of the curriculum that you mentioned is your post, so I'm no help there. But I can tell you what I am using and maybe that will give you new ideas.

 

Handwriting: Getty Dubay Italic Handwriting

Composition: Writing Strands 4

Vocabulary: Classical Roots

Grammar: Daily Grams

 

I've been wanting to try IEW, but the cost is a factor for us so I haven't been able to.

 

I've tried MCT about two years ago and we loved it! :)

 

I hope you find something that works for your daughter soon! Having to start back at square one with finding a curriculum can be so frustrating.

I know this is an old thread, but I had to add my 2 cents, as well, because I love Horrible Ray! I've ordered from him on several occasions and he's so nice. I love the way he packages his items, the way he addresses his packages, and just the way he does business all around. I can't recommend him enough and I'm getting ready to place another order! :lol:
