From your description, it sounds like your daughter is a perfect fit for a career in graphic design or programming. A degree in programming may entail some courses in math, so make sure she doesn’t lose interest half-way in to the program. A graphic design degree will include coursework in design fundamentals, tools, applications, etc. It will be just the kind of program to morph her raw talent into a marketable skill. But finally, it’s she who has to take a call on which program will work best for her.

The primary purpose of college degree programs is to train individuals for a career in a particular field by providing them in-depth knowledge of that field. But college serves many other purposes. One, it opens your mind and broadens your horizon. Two, it develops important life skills like critical-thinking, problem-solving, independent decision-making, etc. Three, it stimulates intellectual development. Four, it exposes one to different cultures and perspectives thereby providing them a global vision. Finally, it helps transition from a dependent existence to an independent life.
