dd11 One of the Royal Diaries- Not sure which. She reads them very quickly.

My dd is 2 1/2.
She loves puzzles!
Playdoh is a big hit. It can be messy, but occupies her for a long time.
I bought her some small cups and silverware from IKEA. They look very realistic and were a big hit. She loves to pour.

Always more than I plan!
I went to Florida Parent Educators Meeting and thought that I just needed to pick up a few things. $300 later and I was done!
I have a dd11, dd9, ds4 and dd2. I plan to spend around $750 total for books, supplies and such.
This does not include science center membership, field trips or unplanned educational days.

Another vote for Wordly Wise
It is a workbook that my daughter loves! She challenges herself to use her new words in conversation. I didn't know about the website....off to check!

We just read "The Help" by Kathryn Sockett. I enjoyed the book very much and it provided for many interesting discussions.

I think adding Megawords is a very good idea. LLATL is weak in the spelling areas and supplementing is a good idea.

I enjoyed it very much, my 2 dd's ..not so much. I heard groans when we pulled it out.
This year we did HOD and they enjoyed that much better.

I will second the whiteboard! My kids love to write on it.
We also practice handwriting with fine tip markers. They love the colors and it gets the job done.

I spend around $500 per kid. This year seems a little less, but I'm sure something will come up.

My dd 11 took several classes this year with FLVS. It was a very positive experience for her. She enjoyed the independence and made great strides in her learning.
We have signed her up for a couple more next school year.

I have several of the ikea shelves in my house. They are wonderful and well made. I have purchased the soft sided boxes from target to put in them. They are only $10 and have held up through 2 years of homeschooling. They come in several colors, so we have 1 color for each child.
Organizing definitely makes homeschooling easier! Good luck!

I used it with my dd8 this year. She loves the program and has learned a ton ! Next year I plan to use GWG 4 with her, and gwg6 with my older dd.
We like it because:
-she can do it independently
-not too lengthy
-lots of review
-lots of retention
-
I will have to look at gwg 4 and see how close it aligns with gwg 3. She did WT 1 last year.

This year I have used Junior Analytical Grammar with my 5th grader. We have stretched it out to last us almost the full year. She has enjoyed the program and has excelled.
My 3rd grader is doing Growing with Grammar 3. I absolutely love this program and so does my dd.
I was thinking of just having each of them continue to the next book in their respective programs.

rising 4th do Growing with Grammar 4
Any thoughts? Is one program stronger in one area? I don't want either of them to miss anything, but hate to mess with what is working.
