These are excellent and helpful replies. Thank you! :D

Thanks, Tammy! :D

I downloaded the free sample of The Arrow on the Bravewriter website -- is this an actual FULL download or is there usually more to a typical unit?
I like what I see, but I wouldn't think it would be enough for a whole month.
Thanks!

The Homeschool Buyers Co-op has the Magic Schoolbus science subscriptions on group buy this month.
I know there was another craft subscription I looked at years ago... Trying to remember what it was.
Thanks, we are Magic Schoolbus fans here! :001_smile:

What a fun thing to do!
:seeya: Hi, Chelle!!! Hope you're doing great! :D

I have sent Kiwi Crates to my nieces (ages 5 and 6), which were a big hit with them and didn't receive too many complaints from my SIL ;)
I don't know if they will do every other month, though.
Those do look neat! They may just be my go-to gift for MY nieces! LOL :D

Do you have any crafty relatives? My stepmom did this for both dd's 5th or 6th bdays - sent them a box a month for a year, with assorted craft stuff. One month might have a seasonal kit for a holiday, one cardmaking stuff, one foodmaking stuff..... They LOVED it, and it gave them something to talk to her about when we get together, and she can share her hobby.
How sweet! This is actually a gift idea for someone to give her for her birthday, and the gift giver may enjoy doing something like that. Thanks! :D

We did the entire Young Scientist Club and loved it. You can modify how often the kits are sent.
Ooh! That looks promising, thanks! :D

Anyone know of any neat "craft of the month" or "SOMETHING of the month" clubs for kids that are fun? I searched a bit online, but wondered if anyone belongs to one they recommend. Also, are there any clubs like this that will send something every OTHER month? I'm looking for something like this for my 7 year old daughter since my son is going to get Lego Master Builder's Academy (it delivers every other month, so trying to keep it similar).
TIA! :)

They would have been kinda sunk without her, I think. Lewis (I think) was very knowledgeable about remedies, edibles, etc, but when they were in a pinch, she knew what to do. She translated for them to the Shoshone, one of whom was her long-lost brother, and was able to get the expedition horses for the last part of their journey. Also, their boat capsized and she is credited as saving many of the precious supplies that went overboard. I'm pretty sure William Clark later acted as a father figure to her child (the one that went on the expedition).
That's all I got.

Good grief. Does anyone know of a way we can watch the MLP wedding online? Apparently we no longer get the HUB channel, and we've been counting down the minutes to this episode. Thanks in advance!:tongue_smilie:

Thanks, Aurelia! :001_smile:

:blushing: I'm embarrassed to ask, because I should be able to figure this out: are the raised dots on the barcode? Or somewhere else?

In the past, we've been able to print out barcodes that tell which minifigure is in each package -- is there a trick like this for series 6? So far my online searches have just said to feel the bag and try to figure it out. I just don't have that kind of time, and I need to fill some Easter baskets! :tongue_smilie:
PS -- Series 5 and 6 Minifigs are buy one, get on 50% off at Toys R Us today and tomorrow! :001_smile:

Excellent, thank you! :)

What set would you recommend for beautiful yet affordable classic books? (Sterling Classics, Classic Starts, Stepping Stones, Classics for Young Readers, Etc.) Thanks!

Have you looked at YMCA Trout Lodge? It looks awesome! :)

Yeah, December can be interesting. In 2010, we had a heavy snowfall on Christmas Eve. A week later, on New Year's Eve, we were ducking under a restaurant table at lunch while a tornado flew overhead.
I can't remember what time the storm went through here last night, but in hindsight we should have gotten up and gone downstairs.
I remember that, too. Seems like the past two years there's been one the week of New Years?:tongue_smilie:

Awesome! Thanks so much! :D

Does anyone have any favorite resources for getting started growing veggies (and grapes) in containers? What are your favorite books or websites? Thanks so much! :)

I set up a Pinterest account because I thought it would be an easy way to organize different links we use for school -- I was also under the assumption that my boards could be private. I was mistaken on both counts. :glare: I'm not trying to deactivate my account and it won't let me! Every time I click "deactivate" it just refreshes the "settings" page and will not deactivate.
What am I doing wrong? :tongue_smilie:
Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks! These are all great suggestions! :001_smile:

What other movies would we like? (Preferably ones that aren't heavy on romantic relationships, but open to all ideas!)
Thanks!

Thanks so much -- I guess I was expecting it to be at the beginning of the Cookie Clause episode. That's exactly what I'm looking for: a vast array! Thanks!:D
School Supplies Still on Sale?

Are school supplies still deeply-discounted right now? Where have you seen good deals? I'm looking specifically for cute notebooks, backpacks, and art supplies....
