Divorcing a cheating husband when not having a job, that would be tough.

It is extremely difficult and what I had to do. I was the stay at home/homeschooling mom for 18 years. It's been so hard!

To the mention that he couldn't find time to have an affair...my spouse had two jobs and was with the kids a lot. I thought the same thing. He ended up using PTO during his workday to meet his girlfriend at a motel. I had no idea since I assumed he was working.

My only clue was he started "forgetting" to bring home his check stubs so I couldnt see the time off.

I would make my boys wait until they were 18. I'd hope they wouldn't want to because I don't really care for that look, but it would be their choice at that point.

That is exactly what I did but only because I don't like the look of men with earrings. I took him to get it done when he was 18.

I don't associate it with being or not being clean cut. And my son looks fine with them pierced and he is happy he did it.

  3. Sometimes it's not the drug itself but the way the pharmacy is processing it. Quantity issues are very common, too short of a days supply could cause a rejection. I work for a large insurance company and handle all pharmacy issues so I see how claims are rejecting. Just an idea to consider as it's not always that your insurance is just denying it.

  4. When I was at Disneyland I sat on a bench waiting for my boys. Now this bench is by Alice in Wonderland ride and is a very very long space. There was a ton of empty space and these two women with little ones stopped right next to me. The kids kept running up and down the bench, repeatedly bumping into me. I am very tolerant of kids but man this was getting to me cause it's so rude to me that you wouldn't be aware of what was happening. I even told the kids once to scoot down and play. So the I have to grumpily say "there is a whole bench to sit on" or something like that. I dont remember exactly but they basically ran away like I was some kind of ogre. I hate people making me feel like I'm being mean cause I don't want your kid to keep kicking and bumping into me.

  5. This reminds me of the Strange Name Movie. It's a doc on Netflix.

I was surprised my son and daughter in law told me the name they were considering since they aren't even pregnant yet just thinking about it. But I would never give an opinion because it can be so hard to find a name both parents can agree on.

My mom's name starts with "Sh" and she felt the need to name my sister and I "Sh" names as well. Which is annoying since no one ever calls us the right name and I now answer to any variation.

  6. I'm planning a trip in August for my birthday with one adult son and my 14 yr old.

    Any tips?

What is the best affordable place to stay? I was thinking The Best Western. And where to eat?

    Skunk Train

    Botanical Garden

Seems like there is lots to see.

  7. This is definitely the part that varies. Here a low retainer is $2000. Expect that to be spent before depositions are scheduled for the trial.

My attorney asked for $5000 retainer. In total it cost me $11,000. No idea why except that it took us 1yr and 1/2 to finish. We never actually went to court either.

Best advice I got from this board was get a lawyer though.

Sorry, I hate to put that total out there for someone new to divorce but the reality is without my lawyer it would have been awful. He tried so much intimidation and it was good to have her there to stop it.

  8. I work in a open office with cubicles so no way to get my own space.

That's what I keep thinking is if I get sick it will be their fault. I try to be as accommodating as I can but from now on I will just have to keep speaking up.

It helped so much to vent.

Even my mom still gives me a hard time about these things. So I just carry a lot of pain about it. I need to work through that somehow.

  9. You guys will understand this:

I'm at work crying or trying to stop crying I should say. We are having a luncheon and the tables are right behind my desk. Last time those little stero burner things made my asthma so bad. The chemical just right at my sitting level for hours. It was so awful...I couldn't breathe and was coughing.

So I asked this morning about it and the response was pretty lukewarm. Left me feeling like yet again I am such a problem with my disease. I'm making things difficult for everyone else. It hurts me. I try so hard to deal with this stuff silently but then I suffer. I already am on 3 nose sprays, 4 different tablets and 3 inhalers for all my allergies and asthma.

They did move the tables but I just feel like no one understands how hard it is.

    I'm just sad.

It's like yesterday when a coworker was making a poster. She sits right next to me and was using markers for like 4 hours. I finally asked if she was almost done cause again the chemicals were getting to me. She ignored me. I hate speaking up because people don't seem to care.

  10. I see you often suggest buying from this company on ebay but they don't have any laptops available. On the main website BlairTG.com they do....would you recommend I buy directly from the site?

May seem obvious but I'm asking anyway since you said you get them on ebay.

I need a new laptop and I don't want to spend a fortune for one. I've been reading all the old recommendation threads and that's how I got to them.

    Thanks :)

  11. Have you ever driven in New Jersey? Or New York?

Drivers would rather hit your car than let you merge.

I'm in Sacramento and we just made a list of worse drivers so that's been my experience. I've seen people almost get hit trying to squeeze someone out.

  12. I think the problem I have is most people won't take turns when you finally get up to the front. I am willing to merge sooner and wait it out.

Also, sometimes it's hard to tell how soon it will merge so I tend to want to just get over.
