  1. We are about to start our 2nd year of GWG and we both love it. The lessons are clear and concise and short and the workbook is well laid out and easy for Indy to understand. The program in spiral, so each workbook sheet refers back to previous lessons. We tried several grammar programs prior to GWG and nothing fit. Once we started using GWG, it clicked and Indy is amazing at grammar despite his dyslexia. We will continue using it as long as it's effective. I also like that it's pretty inexpensive. Indy does 3-4 lessons a week, including tests, and he was finished around week 34.

    HTH!

    Thank you!!

  2. This just about the same schedule I have as well.

:iagree: Since I absolutely have to work and homeschool, I don't understand someone willingly putting themselves in that difficult position if they don't have to

I just feel bad seeing him work so hard and feel like I should help. Was just wondering how everyone else juggled it.

  3. Does anyone do school with your dh home? How do you manage the kids if they are distracted by it? My dh is laid off and going back to school for the next year or so. I don't know his schedule in the fall, but in the summer, he's going to be home by 10:45 on Tuesday and Thursdays. I'm really concerned that next year is going to be difficult for ds because he loves spending time with his daddy. I know dh will have homework and studying, too. I guess I'm just worried that it's going to be a hard transition. Any advice?

My dh work schedule has him home 3-4 days a week depending on his schedule that week (it rotates) It is very hard to get anything done on those days. Since when he does work we don't see him at all...so when he is home it is hard to get the kids to do anything but play with daddy. I have to admit this last year we got a bit behind because of it so this summer we are having to make up some things while he is at work. Next year we are going to follow a better schedule and have dh help with certain subjects to be more involved :)

  4. It sounds like my gut was right. I think I'll look for something else for dd.

I'm pretty certain for the rest of us. The picture really doesn't do my shirt justice. The colors coordinate perfectly with the boys' shirts. It's also one of those shirts that doesn't look as nice when it's not being worn. I've had oodles of compliments on it, so I know it looks nice :001_smile:.

Ugh. Now to find something for dd who HATES shopping :glare:.

    :iagree:
