I would like to know more about the Aha Science as well. I looked it up and didn't see any pricing. I did submit a form for more information.

Last year my daughter completed Math Mammoth 6. This year, in 7th grade, she is using Teaching Textbooks Algebra 1. I never intended on continuing with TT, I just used it as a pre-Algebra for her and to boost her confidence in Math. I am wondering what you all think of MathTeacher.com as a complete Algebra 1 course verse Math Wothout Borders. I would like to find a series that she can use in 8th grade and throughout the rest of high school.
Thanks,
Gina

I just used a webiste called HomeschoolClassifieds and just sold some books on it. They don't take any money out like Amazon does, so it saves a few dollars.
I have some textbooks, like 3 Chicago Math Trig texts, a computer programming text and a Pearson Precal text. These are not selling on the For Sale forum (I've tried over the years) and most places I check say they are not buying back these texts at this time. I have checked over the summer for the past couple years, with Abebooks.com, and I get the same thing. What do you do with old textbooks???One I bought through the Potters School bookstore and they won't even buy back the text they sold me:confused:

We are doing TOG year 2 this year and I add SOW with it for my younger daughter - she is going into the 2nd grade. TOG has book lists for each year based on children's ages. There are some great books in year 2 that go with SOW year 2. If you are interested in it you can go to bookshelf central website and pull up a list of books (lower grammar for 1st and 2nd grade). There are some great ones in upper grammar as well, but you would have to do as a read aloud. I am looking forward to History this year, I love the stories of Arthur and Robin Hood! Good luck finding your books, it is a great time in History!

Thanks for the sites! We have been wanting to learn Italian too since my family is all Italian and have looked into Rosetta Stone, but it is so expensive. I decided to try and buy it next year when my DD is in the 8th grade, but these sites are perfect to start out with.
I've been looking for the past 2 weeks after my DH and I decided on Italian. Some of the links might be too easy and some might be just right . . .

No English in this but we can all work out what is said,
Might be a bit easy but my kids loved the video clip and we've ordered the pack.

I just did my signature, hopefully it works. I also found where to set up for emails on control panel. There were two places, one was to highlight for instant emails, then further down in Messaging and Notifications there was another box you had to check for private messages to be emailed. Just wondering if you had done both? I do not know if this will actually work on mine since I just figured it out, lol!

I would like to know as well. I have had no luck trying to find where I can have private messages sent to my email. Do you or anyone know if you can get a post from a thread that you have posted on sent to your email?

Hello everyone, my name is Gina. I am new to this forum, actually new to any forum. This is my first and only one. I have a younger sister who is obsessed with forums and she guided me to this one last year while I was deciding on TOG. I have read a lot of threads, but never posted in one until now. I am not sure what all the abbreviations are yet, but I am slowly learning.
I am using TOG year 1. I have a 6th grader in Dialectic and a 1st grader in Lower Grammar. I am loving it, but the only thing is my personality tends to get a little turbed when I don't get to complete a project. I have gone several weeks with no project at all (mostly prior to Christmas and this last week). Do you all do a project every week? How about the Unit celebrations?
