My 12 y/o son is teaching his sister's (9) baseball team Spanish.
He reads a book and says, "I finished the book, but she wasn't a very good writer."
In the middle of the year, " Can I please study ancient history? I think it is more interesting than American history."

I am using Simply Music DVDs for my learning disabled 15 year old daughter. I love the program. He teaches them to play by learning sentences or parts of songs and they start playing great songs right away.

Sonlight Kindergarten for a child who was no where near ready for it. I found out later that she had severe learning disabilies.
Now, she is 15 and I am trying to decide about IEW . We have done several lessons and it is painful for her and me, but she is learning a little. I just don't know if learning to write has to be a negative experience for her. I want it to be a pleasure, but maybe that will come later.

I often wonder where those mult. facts go for the day. They usually show up the next day, along with a better attitude.
Ukulele anyone?

We are searching for one right now. My 9 year old daughter plays chords on the piano and sings. Now we are looking for an electric acoustic tenor. When we find one, we plan on buying it.
I want to learn to play it, too.
