  1. We are also in the Denver area. My grandson lives with us and receives therapy. He has therapy through Rocky Mountain Human Services. They do both speech and PT. His OT is with Children's Hospital main campus. He received referrals through his doc at Children's. He is only 18 months. I know that If they are in school they can receive therapy at school. I would push to get your doc to give you a referral if possible. That makes it so much easier.

  2. Congratulations!  That is so exciting for her!  I am just wondering what gym she compete for.   We live in MS but my daughter competes for a gym in Collierville, TN.  We compete in several TN meets and I didn't recognize her leo!

  3. We started homeschooling my 11 year old three years ago because of competitive gymnastics.  She is at the gym an average of 30 hours a week.  There is a large number of homeschoolers at our gym so the girls have practice during the day.  Some days they start practice by 10 am.   There are probably 20 or so girls that are homeschooled in levels 7-10.  Once you are a level 9 and 10, it is almost required with the amount of time that is put into gymnastics.

  4. My gymnast is gearing up for the new season.  She has a home meet in two weeks, but her competitive season doesn't really begin until January.  She is going to be a repeat level 7 this year.  Last year she battled a broken foot so only competed in three meets with her foot taped!  She did place first on beam at each of the meets even with a broken foot!  She just got out of a cast for a broken hand so we decided with her injuries and new rules she needed to repeat level 7.  She is ready and working on perfecting those skills!

  5. I have decided to actually take part in the challenge this week rather than just stalk the thread!

Last week I finished The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. I enjoyed the last of the trilogy but I didn't think it was a good as the first two.

This week I am reading Fire which is the second in a young adult series. I'm not loving it but will finish it!

  6. This has happened to me several times. More often it is a feeling I get. One example was when I was in college (3 hours from home), I had a feeling something was wrong with my dad. He had had heart issues in the past and I just felt like something was not right when I woke up that morning. I called the house and no one answered and of course there were no cell phones back in the day! So, I immediately called the CCU waiting room at the hospital where he had been in the past. My mom actually answered the phone and was surprised to be talking to me. He was actually having emergency surgery getting a stent put in. So, yes, I believe and whenever I get the feeling, I trust it!

  7. Here's what I have planned:

Math: TT5 and either MM or Singapore

Language Arts: Rod and Staff 4 and WWE 3

    Science: RSO Chemistry

History: Continuing with American History Part 2 plus a State Study

    Logic: Logic Safari Book 2

    Vocabulary: I haven't decided yet

This is my plan but who knows if I will actually commit!
