My 17yo also got Nexplanon. We didn’t choose an IUD for her mainly because we were told that insertion could be be quite painful since she hadn’t had sex yet. I have Mirena and love it!

I feel this so much. Sometimes I regret staying home full time and homeschooling all these years. I’ve been doing it for over 20 years now and have 6 more years to go with homeschooling the youngest. I started a part time job 2 years ago, and that has helped me so much. I think I’m probably depressed, and that’s making all of these feelings worse.

DO have them bring masks. Austin yesterday just announced they are fining businesses up to $2000 each for allowing unmasked customers. Even before that, a lot of stores were not allowing people in who were unmasked.
Yes, definitely! UT is also requiring masks on campus.

I‘ve got two kids going to UT Austin. They are not only online for the fall. My kids currently have a mixed schedule for fall, about half online and half in person.

I’d like an invite too please. 21yo and 17yo. Thanks!

Check out Rice. They give out great need based aid. I have a family member who earned a Philosophy degree from there.
Trinity in San Antonio is another wonderful school. They are very generous with merit aid.

Has anyone had any luck getting insurance coverage of Mounjaro or Wegovy for weight loss only?

I had to fight with my insurance company for almost 4 months before they would cover it. I had to keep going back and forth with the insurance company and my doctor’s office (who also wasn’t very helpful). Insurance had the doctor’s office do a pre-authorization for each of the first 4 months as the dosage changed. If the deductible isn’t met, then I do have to pay full price. Luckily (or unluckily) my family meets our deductible pretty quickly.
However, my best recommendation is to took for a “weight loss center” or “wellness center” in your city. Mine prescribed semaglutide which they would send out to be filled by a compounding pharmacy. I paid around $200/month total for monthly doctor visits and medication. So much less headache than dealing with insurance. I’ve lost 50 lbs so far!
