Brain Skills vs Learning Rx

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever heard of Brain Skills? I was told it is the same program that Learning Rx uses. I would love to hear from people who have used either program. We were going to take our son to Learning Rx, but the Brain Skills workbook literally fell into my lap. Now we are struggling to know what to do. On the one hand, the brain skills would be extremely cheap as compared to Learning Rx. On the other hand, we do want the latest research and therapies there are for our son. The copyright date on the Brain Skills workbook is 2001. Any input will be appreciated. I am also looking for the videos that go with the program. Thanks.

Greetings! I’m from the LearningRx Home Office and I’d love to answer your questions about the Brain Skills workbook and LearningRx personal training. As a mom, I certainly understand and appreciate the never-ending tug between wanting something that works, but at the best value possible. That said, here goes. The 2001 Brain Skills workbook was part of kit that has been phased out to make way for other programs that get better results so, unfortunately, in terms of offering the latest in research and protocols, the Brain Skills workbook is not going to be your best bet.

Also, the Brain Skills workbook is not the same program that LearningRx uses in its one-on-one brain training and is not designed to get the same results. It sounds like you may have already looked into LearningRx (and if so you may already have this information), but you can visit www.learningrx.com/results for some interesting results statistics. And if you haven’t found a LearningRx center near you yet, you can see what’s close by visiting www.learningrx.com.

I hope that helps. The best value for your hard-earned dollars is the option that’s going to give you the most life changing improvements for those dollars. But, like I said, I do understand the need to look at all the options (especially if one of those options is cheaper or even free). At the same time, there’s no use pouring time and effort into something that’s not going to do what you need it to do. I recently paid for my own daughter to go through a full LearningRx one-on-one brain training program because the results are so measurably dramatic. All that to say, I hope I’ve answered your questions, and best to you as you figure out the best approach to take for your son.
