Fathersjoy
I purchased this curriculum last year and was wondering how others felt about it for 9th grade geography? I still need to purchase the student book and it seems to require additional textbooks which I don't have. I have other History books and could order the Abeka ones it asks for or is it worth the trouble and should I just get the Abeka geography curriculum for 9th and not do it? I do like Apologia (the publisher) but would like others thoughts on it. Thanks for any help, suggestions, etc.
Alphabetika
Next year I'm combining my 5th grade dd using 180 Days with my 10th grade dd using BJU's Cultural Geography. My older dd now preferes a more textbooky approach (though I'm going to be adding in living books for each place we study) rather than the more research-based approach of 180 Days. Fathersjoy
Did you just get the Student text or more than that? It looks pretty pricey to me to get the whole package. Also, if you haven't done it yet, do you know anyone who's used the Around the World in 180 days concept before and what they thought of it? catsluvsushi
One of my children used the entire curriculum. We found it very interesting but some of the answers were not easy to find and this was very frustrating. We found it helpful to have several general history book references available at home, though the internet was used a lot.
