momtoboyz
Can someone explain the difference between Primary Math - Standard Edition and US Edition. Thanks.
AudreyTN
The Standard Ed contains EVERYTHING that the Us Ed does, just in a slightly different order. The Standard Ed also teaches a few things that the US does NOT. There's a PDF somewhere at Singaporemath.com that shows the differences. momtoboyz
So what do most people use, the standard or the us? I have the US edition but the Standard is the most recent it seems.
melissa123
I prefer the Standards edition (we're using 5B right now.) The textbooks are more appealing to my daughter (they're in color), and the Teacher Manuals are more appealing to me (they're very clear, concise, and thorough.) We still use the Intensive Practice and Challenging Word Problems workbooks. It hasn't been a problem matching the Standards sequence to these books. HTH! Melinda S in TX
We are using the US Edition. My children don't mind the lack of color, but missed the "Singaporeness" that was taken out when they made the Standards Edition. Melinda
