Jennefer@SSA
I have a friend who is going to the Shriner's Burn Hospital. They have been asked to bring activities for a wide age range of children in the playroom. The ages of the children coming in will be birth to age 18 but right now there is a heavy adolescent population. Can you all help me give my friend some good ideas? Thanks in advance
momofkhm
They are 10 and 13. It comes in a regular edition, junior and Bible (what we have). I played on the women's retreat and it is so much fun for adults too. I think if you had a group of similarly ages kids playing they would enjoy it as well. (13-18 yo playing might not work well but 15-18 would be fine. 12-14 would work out just as well.)
Jennefer@SSA
I will pass that idea along to her. I have heard great things about that game but have never played it. :) Looking forward to more ideas, too. They are wanting several things to do to keep all the kids busy throughout the day! Tammyla
Clue, Scrabble, cards, Uno, any of the Cranium games would be nice. Crossword puzzles, real books, and small electronic hand held games might be nice.
Guest Lorna
Here is a nice link with some old fashioned paper toys children of all ages can make, all the way up to a more complex paper theatre complete with script. It is something a large group of teenagers could do a part of and get together quite quickly. http://www.vam.ac.uk/moc/kids/things_to_make/index.html
Jennefer@SSA
I have forwarded these ideas on to my friend. They are going tomorrow so if anyone else has any more ideas I would be happy to pass even more ideas along to her.
