Colors in Google Calendar

Recommended Posts

I'm trying out Google Calendar in my ongoing attempt to get organized. I thought I read somewhere that you could change the colors of the entries depending on the person the event is for, e.g. each person in the family would have a different color for their events. I can't figure out how to do this.

Can anyone clue me in? I'm usually pretty tech-savvy, but this one has me stumped for some reason.

Thanks!

Holly

I believe you need a seperate calendar set up for each person.

Once you have that done, you will find that there are listings of "My Calendars" and "Other Calendars" in the left sidebar of your Google Calendar page.

Click the arrow next to any of the calendar listings and you will get a pop-up window that contains a color pallett. Just choose a different color for each of your calendars.

In order to see everyone's calendar on the same page, be sure to go to Calendar Settings and check the box for each one under the heading Show in List.

Setting up several calendars can be a bit time consuming, but once they're all there, it's WONDERFUL!

Google Calendars has been the best too for organizing my family!
