lynn
I became side tracked yesterday and burnt some hamburger. For some reason when I put it on the stove I decided to tidy the bathrooms, check my e-mail, then the smoke and smell hit me. :001_huh: I turned on the exhaust fan, ceiling fans opened all window and doors got the pan outside. I put out a pan of vinegar, did the damp towel thing, lysol order eliminator etc but there is still a smell of burnt hamburger in the air. I plan to febreeze the couches before I got out this morning. What else can I do?
Jean in Newcastle
Oh dear. You did everything I would do. I'm hoping that by bumping this up someone else will have some ideas for you.
happygrrl
I have heard that the febreeze candle works wonders. I have not tried it myself, but I intend to pick one up soon.

Peggy in Va
For the furniture you could try some plain old baking soda. I use it to get the doggy odor out of my furniture and carpets. (It's also what I use on my dogs when they've been sprayed by a skunk.) Just sprinkle some baking soda on the fabric, let it sit a little while, then vacuum. Works great. As for the walls or cabinets, you might have to wash them down. HTH
