Another vote here for Homeschool Tracker Plus! The Plus version is really worth it - you get free updates for life, no need to buy another version again. Tremendous tech support!

:iagree:I used the Basic for a while(a free download from their website), but found the Plus version to better suit our family.

is with the new version you can add attachments or www links to your lesson plans. I like to do much of my planning in the summer. This gives me an easy way to pull things from the net or other resources right into my lesson plans. It saves me from keeping all the links in my Favorites online and then trying to remember what I was going to use them for.:glare:

HST is also great at managing all the books. When I went to the curriculum fair I printed out what I already had in my library so I didn't rebuy books. You can type in the ISBN and it will pull the rest of the information into the software for you.

My other favorite feature is that you can put your lessons in without adding them to your schedule until you are ready. If you get them scheduled and an unexpected rabbit trail occurs or life gets in the way (or a 7 you boy isn't as productive as he should have been :glare:) it is easy to reschedule planned lessons.

The plus version is worth the money, and their service is great IMHO.

HST all the way for me too! The support is AMAZING. I will email them with a detailed question and I get almost an immediate response.

I also agree that it takes a while to learn. I suggest spending the summer experimenting, so you can be ready to go by fall. Some things just won't make sense until you try it!

Happy learning!

Another :thumbup1: for Homeschool Tracker Plus. I found the free version to be difficult to use, and didn't do the things that I wanted a planner to do. The plus version does have a learning curve, but once you figure out how to do what you want, it's great!
