eclecticmom
Do you have a software program that you use for monitoring internet use and limiting access for certain categories or content of websites? If so, do you like it? Why do you like it? How much did it cost?
RoughCollie
http://www1.k9webprotection.com/ It is free.
HSDCY
I second K9. We've been using it for over two years now and are very happy with it. You can even choose how much you want to block and which categories of sites you want to block. If you block some sites, you can still have access to them if you know the password. For example, we have YouTube blocked, but I have access to it because I can type in password to unblock it for 15-60min. It's free!
Starr
For those looking for conservative, serious, filter google Hedgebuilders. It blocks Youtube, Wikipedia as well as the stuff you'd expect.
Melissa in Australia
I have K9 as well. I mostly have it to stop unintentional viewing of things. If you had someone that really wanted to look at something and you were trying to stop it than it might not work. it is easy to override to look at sites that you might want to look at . like chat room or twitter etc. , if you know the password. I have the computer in the living room where it is in full view of everyone.
momto4greatkids
We have Safe Eyes that we purchased through the Focus on the Family website for a discount. It seems like it was about $40. Each family member can log in with his own account, and each account can be set up differently. I receive text messages on my cell if someone is on the internet--very helpful when I'm away from home. Every once in a while, I "try" to get on questionable sites just to make sure its working and doing its job. I am very pleased.
Guest Healthy Fuel
I would name ActyMac DutyWatch (screenshots, full internet and application usage history, alarm email notifications, etc) and ProteMac KeyBag (a keylogger). DutyWatch costs around 30$, I guess. Sorry, if it's wrong, I really don't remember it exactly  KeyBag costs 40$. But these are only for Mac-users.. :coolgleamA:

We have personals/dating blocked right now, but that is what they have the Tapestry of Grace Forum listed as. I know I could just disable the filter, but that kind of defeats the purpose and accountability. I've reported it to them the three times I've tried to visit.
