Storm Bay
You might be able to do it at a slower pace. It breaks things down into smaller pieces.
HiddenJewel
The WriteShop website recommends Wordsmith Apprentice for that grade level. Note: Wordsmith Apprentice is not a WriteShop product. We carry it to meet the writing needs of your nine- to eleven-year-olds, since they're still too young for WriteShop.
Sunshine State Sue
We are using Write Shop for 6th-7th-8th. Starting in 6th grade is fine. Here is their FAQ about grades. Maybe Wordsmith Apprentice in 5th and Write Shop for 6th-7th-8th would work? I must say that I am very grateful to be able to use 1 writing program for junior high.
